We have been trying to keep ourselves occupied so we tried a viral tick tick trend! Dalgona coffee is a Korean coffee drink that has been on fire lately. The idea is that you make a frothy coffee that lays on top of the milk.
Whisk all the ingredients together until frothy and mousse like in texture. It can take anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes for this to happen.
After using an electric whisk for what felt like ages, we finally got it! We tried putting on top of cold milk for an iced coffee and hot milk for a normal coffee.
For those who aren’t fans of sugar in their coffee, this isn’t for you. It’s a bit sweet for those not used to a sweet drink. The hot coffee tasted better than the cold one, that’s for sure but we weren’t a huge fan.
Was it worth it? We really don’t think so. The texture was similar to coffee made the normal way and the taste was no different. It also took way too long to make and we just don’t think it was worth the effort.
Give this a go because it looks really cool but just make your coffee the normal way!
