Give yourself a little mood booster this weekend and treat yourself to an at-home brunch!

Many are missing going out for food and while restaurants are open again, you might not feel comfortable to go to them yet. Eating brunch is one of our favourite little luxuries and something that can be easily recreated at home.

Brunch Ideas

Pancakes

Make some typical american style pancakes!

Crepes

A great recipe for crepes is 100g of plain flour, pinch of salt, 1 egg, 300ml of milk and 1 tblsp of oil or butter. Mix the dry ingredients first, add the egg in the middle and mix slightly. Then slowly add the milk in until everything is combined. For topping ideas check out some inspiration here.

Waffles

If you have a waffle machine, dust it off from the back of the cupboard and you can either make them sweet or savoury!

French toast

Grab some slightly stale thick sliced bread and dip into an egg mixture. For the mixture you will need eggs, milk and cinnamon.

Smoothie bowl

You can either do it the right way and blend up frozen acai, add milk, banana and blend. Or you can blend up fruits and make a thick smoothie. Add on top seeds, granola, chopped up fruit, honey or anything else you fancy.

Eggs

Fried eggs, poached eggs, scrambled eggs or get fancy with eggs benedict.

Frittata

This is super easy to make. All you need is eggs and you can use leftover veg and potato or pasta that you have, or you can add in fresh. Throw in spices and herbs to taste and cook.

Breakfast potatoes

There are a few different ways you can do this. Either chop up potatoes into little cubes or you can grate potato and mix with a little flour and egg. To both you can add salt, oregano and paprika to taste. You can fry the potato cakes and put the cubes in the oven to cook.

Avocado toast

Always a crowd pleaser!

Granola pot

Layer yogurt, granola and sliced fruit or pureed fruit into a glass.

Cinnamon rolls or brioche buns

Both can take a bit of time to prepare and make however they are definitely worth the effort.

Mimosa

Can you have brunch without a mimosa? Grab that orange juice and prosecco and drink up!

Enjoy treating yourself and indulge in all these amazing foods!
