Some things just shouldn’t be said to a pregnant woman! When you are pregnant, emotions are all over the place already, so when someone says something you don’t want to hear, it can set you over the edge!

If you happen to be in conversation with a pregnant woman, you might want to stay away from staying certain things!

Here are some things you shouldn’t say to a pregnant woman!

1.Are you prepared?

Even if you were planning your pregnancy, when you finally get pregnant it can still be a shock, so no we don’t think you are ever prepared!

2.Can I feel your bump?

Once you get pregnant it is like you have a big sign on your head saying ‘yeh come touch my bump’. However some women might not like you touchin the bump and it can get very annoying when people keep asking.

3.You looked exhausted.

Why thank you, as if not sleeping because of constant discomfort is not enough for you, so telling me i look exhausted really made my day….not! You might just make them cry!

4.Do you want a girl or a boy?

Like they are really going to answer that!

5.Are you scared for the birth?

What woman isn’t a little apprehensive about something the size of a watermelon coming out of their lady parts, so reminding them of that probably isn’t the best idea.

6.Wow you’re so big/small

You are going to open a black hole inside that pregnant womans head. They may have been insecure already about their bump and you might even make them think something is wrong. Once you start googling, there is no end!

7.You know it’s really 10 months not 9

Yeh thanks, thank you very much for that reminder

8.When i was pregnant i didn’t have that

Telling them that you didn’t have morning sickness or back pain, really isn’t going to make them feel better.

9.Are you going to breastfeed?

That is really none of your business. Fed is best, it doesn’t matter what way you do it.

10.Sleep now because once the baby is here you’ll never sleep again

Chances are they already aren’t sleeping well so that’s great advice….not!

Those really aren’t the kinds of things you should be telling a hormonal pregnant woman. Next time, maybe just keep it to congratulations, you look amazing or how are you feeling. If they want to talk about something more sensitive they can spark the conversation and ask you for your advice.
