Irish Influencer Rosie Connolly has raised €250,000 in less than 48 hours for Irish children’s hospitals.
She to her Instagram and asked her followers to donate all that they could.
The initial GoFundMe goal was to raise €5,000 and the money would be split between two hospitals.
Within a few hours she a tripled her goal and after 19 hours she has raised a whopping €100,000.
This figure has been continuously increasing and hasn’t stopped yet!
The money is to be equally split between Temple Street and Crumlin Children’s Hospital, two amazing children’s hospitals, the influencer said.
Rosie who is a mum of two, Remi and Harry said that she was inspired to raise funds after visiting a hospital recently.
Tears of Joy
On her Instagram account she said she ‘couldn’t let the year go by without doing something’.
Just before hitting €10,000 she added: “I swore I wasn’t going to come on and cry, but I have literally spent the last hour bawling crying”.
Rosie used winning a Chanel bag as an incentive but noted that the people donating were doing it out of the kindness of their own heart and if they won something from it, it would just be a bonus.
“Kindness is everything and for you all to join me in raising money for the innocent ones in all of this, our children… I’m so proud of social media tonight. So proud,” She concluded.
