Michelle Dewberry brings baby home after 6 weeks

Apprentice star Michelle Dewberry brings her baby home after 6 weeks in the NICU.

Michelle took to Instagram to share a sweet post of herself leaving the hospital with her baby boy and her partner. Alongside the post she shared a caption of her reflecting on her “incredibly challenging, upsetting and draining” time in the hospital after her son was born.

Michelle was hospitalised one month before giving birth with premature rupture of her waters. Her baby was then born prematurely at 31 weeks and spent 6 weeks in the NICU.

She opened added that she is “slightly more anxious about my son than I’d like to be” but hopes that will pass with time. Michelle also spoke about how incredibly hard it was to have her son taken from her straight after birth and then not being able to meet him for a 8 hours.

Michelle has been very open about her whole PPROM journey to which she said “Not every pregnancy/birth is perfect & the reason I’ve been so open about my journey is because we only seem to see/read about the happy side-I feel it important to show the other side.” We applaud her on her transparency. Like we have always said, it is because people of influence speaking out that we move to normalising the other side to pregnancy, birth and post partum.
