Keeping your health up!


The cold and flu season is still here with more and more people catching it, making it hard to keep your health up! There is nothing worse than sitting at home not being able to breathe. Here are a few tips to avoid a cold/ flu but if you have already caught it, then there are some remedies as well!

How to avoid getting the cold/flu:

  1. Make sure you get the flu shot
  2. Wash your hands
  3. Use hand sanitiser
  4. Keep your hands away from your face
  5. Clean the surfaces around you
  6. Get enough sleep
  7. Keep stress to a minimum
  8. Take vitamins and supplements
  9. Avoid sick people
  10. Have a balanced diet with vitamin rich foods

Cold/ flu remedies:

  1. Medications
  2. Echinacea
  3. Plenty of rest
  4. Stay hydrated
  5. Nasal sprays or irrigation kits
  6. Vaporub
  7. Hot drinks/ gargle salt water for a sore throat
  8. Use honey and ginger
  9. Good ole chicken soup
  10. Warm bath with epsom salts to relieve body pains & essential oils like tea tree, lavender and eucalyptus
