We are not here to feed you false information but just the information in the simplest of terms. For more official information please look at the advice from the HSE.

Symptoms

The main symptoms according to the HSE are:

How to protect yourself

  • Wash your hands regularly – using soap and water ensure you use he proper hand washing technique in order to get rid of the germs. Teach your kids that they should sing happy birthday twice out loud and print out a picture of the hand washing technique for them to follow.
  • Cover your mouth – when coughing or sneezing, ensure you do it into a tissue, throw it out and immediately wash your hands.
  • Distance – keep your distance from people.
  • Transport – avoid public transport due to the cast amount of germs on the surfaces
  • Clean – make sure you keep your surfaces clean. If you have gone shopping and come home, it might be a good idea to give the counters a wipe down.
  • Touching – do not touch your face
  • Travel – avoid travelling and keep up to date with all new information

The most important thing is to stay alert and not to panic. Panicking will be your worst enemy and you should not give in. Avoid reading the news  so much and stay updated with information coming from formal bodies such as the HSE or WHO.

By following the guidelines we can stop it from getting worse. Please stay in your homes and self isolate. It is not worth taking the risk and it is up to us to stop it getting as bad as Italy.
