Whether you’re carving pumpkins just for decoration or for Halloween, here’s what to do with the guts of your pumpkin!

Pumpkin is an all time favourite once fall hits but many people seem to waste what they scoop out of it. This year we want to change that and make the most of every bit of the pumpkin.

We don’t want to be wasteful. Pumpkins aren’t just best for decoration, but there are so many uses that taste delicious. Here’s what to do with the guts and how to make the most of the inside of your pumpkin!

What to do with the guts of your pumpkin:

Roasted pumpkin seeds

Roasted pumpkin seeds make the best snack and is also very healthy. You can cook them with just salt and pepper or add other spices like cumin, turmeric or cinnamon. Eat them on their own or add them into a home made trail mix.

Pumpkin puree

This is a great one if you have a child who has just started eating solids. Pumpkin puree is very easy to make, just blend until smooth. It can be eaten on its own or added into to other foods.

Bird Food

You can add the dried out seeds to your bird feeder outside. If you don’t have one, why not make a DIY feeder! That will keep the kids occupied for a while!

Pumpkin Butter

Pumpkin Spiced Latte
