For parents looking for ways to keep the kids entertained during the long summer holidays, Good Food Ireland has launched a new dimension to their offering – Good Food Ireland Experiences – which offers endless ways to keep them entertained over the summer months.
The new online service available on the Good Food Ireland website allows parents to browse experiences by date, destination, or simply by the food experience they would like to explore. The site also allows users to book the experience directly and receive immediate confirmation.
“We realise that more and more Irish people care where their food comes from, and the Good Food Ireland Experiences are a great way for parents to get their kids excited about Irish food as well, in a fun and engaging way,” said Margaret Jeffares, Founder of Good Food Ireland.
Diverse and varied food scene
Experiences are as diverse and varied as the food scene in Ireland. Make Your Own Chocolate Bar in County Clare (€40 per person), take a Blackcurrant and Horse Breeding Farm Tour in County Wexford (€25 per person), try Goat Cheesemaking on a Family Farm in County Cork (€65 per person), or get the kids buzzed about Bee-Keeping in County Galway (€35 per person).
“We have worked tirelessly with the best food producers and chefs in Ireland to carefully develop, inspect and bring to market food experiences which are now available on one platform, easily searched and navigated by various criteria”. Jeffares added.
Families looking to go on their own adventure for the day can pick up a Traditional Tipperary Country Picnic (€35 per two people) or a Good Food on the Go – Picnic Box Lunch (€16 per person) in County Kilkenny.
