Making Meal Times Fun!

Everyone is getting sick of cooking for the family so why not start by making meal times fun for everyone! You can turn a basic meal into something fun for both you and your kids.

Pizza

Make your own pizza dough or buy the ready made bases. The fun part is decorating them with the kids! You can make a mouse pizza by using mozzarella and olives for the eyes and nose, mushrooms for the ears and peppers for the whiskers and mouth. You can cut cheese into shapes such as stars and use meat or veggies for stripes. How about creating a clock pizza with olives, sausage or tomatoes for the hours and pepper for the hands of the clock.

Hot Dogs

Turn your hot dogs into Pluto from Mickey Mouse. All you need is cheese, olives, salami slice and hot dog buns. Put all the toppings on a separate plate and let the kids pick and choose what they would like.

Baked Potato

Once cooked, cut in half and start creating. You can turn it into a boat, use cheese and a cocktail stick for the sail and flag. Put on some shredded lettuce for the sea and make some fish out of peppers or carrots.

Eggs

Separate the yoke from the white of the egg. Put the white of the egg in the pan first and then drop the yokes in one at a time where eyes would be. Once plated you can use tomato for the eyes and ears and use a piece of toast with meat coming out for the tongue.

Yogurt

You can make a face just like with the eggs but use apricots/blueberries for eyes, grapes for ears, strawberries for the nose and orange slices for the smile!

Sandwich

Turn your sandwich into a summer garden. Cut the sandwich into a flower pot shape, use cucumber as the stalk and leaves, and strawberries for the flower. You can cut cheese into shapes like clouds and place around it.

Have a little imagination and you can get your kids to eat their fruits and veggies no problem! You can also have a lot of fun making them for the kids, or get them involved and they can enjoy themselves as well.
