Last Minute DIY Mothers Day Gifts

Just in case you weren’t that prepared for Mothers Day this year, we came up with some last minute DIY gift ideas and you don’t have to leave the house! Moms deal with a lot of stress and considering the current circumstances they need a treat!

At Home, Last Minute Mothers Day Gifts:

• Homemade card – gather up your child craft supplies that are around the house like paper, glitter, stickers and get crafty!
• Breakfast in bed – go the extra mile, make her favourite breakfast and bring it to her in bed. It can be as simple as cereal with some fresh fruit or freshly squeezed orange juice with pancakes!
• Spa time – you can give her some “me” time by setting up her very own at home spa. Lay out some scented candles, a face mask, fill up the bath and leave her be! Click here for some more at home spa tips.
• Make vouchers – make a little voucher booklet so she can feel extra special. You can make some to let her out of doing the dishes/hoovering/washing for the day, one for a foot massage, hugs, night off of cooking, sleep in and one where she can choose what she wants.
• Bake – make her a cake or go a little crazy a make her a cupcake bouquet if you couldn’t get flowers.
• DIY scrubs – grab a jar/ tub, some sugar from the cupboard, coconut oil and you have yourself a lip or body scrub. You could also add in some honey for hydration or citrus fruits for a lovely scent. You can also make one with oats and honey which is great one for anti-inflammatory and hydration purposes.
• Compliment jar – start writing out compliments for her and fill up a jar of them so she can open them up when she’s feeling down. Make sure they aren’t all physical things, they can be things your thankful/grateful for.
• Tickets – make tickets for an at home movie night. Put some popcorn on, grab a blanket and enjoy.
• DIY frame – grab an old frame around the house and give it some life! You could do a some scrabble art around the word mother or stick anything you want on it.
