Eggcellent Easter Crafts!

The Easter bunny may or may not be showing up this year but that doesn’t mean you cant make the most the day and make some eggcellent Easter crafts!

Easter Bunnies

We all have a lot of toilet paper in the house so why not use up the cardboard when you have finished the roll. Take the cardboard roll and decorate it like a bunny. All you will need is paint, paper, glue/sellotape and some pipe cleaners if you want 3D whiskers. You can add feet to the bunny if you want, make the ears floppy or pointy, or change it up altogether and make a yellow chick instead!

Face Masks

Grabs some paper plates, cute out the middle and stick a lollipop stick on the bottom and you have yourself the template for a mask. You could use a piece of elastic or paper to make a head strap, if holding it is too much trouble. Add any characteristics of any Easter animal you want and you can have a fun masked party.

Easter Cards

This can be a craft you can do for all ages and something you can hang in your window for others to see as well. It can be a great way to perk up someone else who is driving or walking past your house.

All you need is paper/ card and any other supplies you want like paint, markers, crayons, stickers etc. If you don’t have any water colour paint at home but the kids would really love some, all you have to do is draw with markers and then using a paint brush with water, lightly paint over the marker. It gives a great water colour affect and can really elevate any craft.

Spring Chicks

We were thinking about things you might have around the house for these crafts, so in saying that, go and grab you empty egg cartons! You can make individual chicks that you can fill with chocolate or a fun little fruit holder. Colour them in or use paint to decorate and feel free to add feathers or any other supplies you have lying around.

You could also turn the carton into a little garden by adding fake grass made from paper, some flowers and chicks.

Easter Sun Catchers

Print off some Easter sun catcher templates or just draw the outline of a bunny or egg. Fill up the inside with coloured tissue paper and either place on the window or hang with string outside.

We hope you can make the most of your Easter weekend despite current circumstances. Even in these dark days we can find the light.
