It is the year of the Rat and a programme has been announced for the Dublin Chinese New Year Festival.
DCNYF runs from Fri 24th Jan – Mon 10th Feb 2020
Each year DCNYF invites everyone to be part of the celebrations and immerse yourself in Chinese culture, as Dublin City celebrates with a programme that includes talks, visual arts, performance, film, music and many family friendly events.
Some highlights of the festival include:
- Spring Festival Fair
- Many buildings and landmarks across Dublin and Kildare will light up in festive red
- Two days of fantastic family-friendly celebrations at Kildare village
- Galas / concerts including Mongolian ethnic dance, acrobats and Peking opera
- Intriguing talks & lectures exploring various aspects of modern and historic Chinese
- Films and exhibitions
- A myriad of food experiences and food tours to give you a real taste of Asia
- Tours both in Chinese and in English
- Hands-on workshops for adults and families / children to learn more about Chinese traditions and arts
There is something for everyone to enjoy at the Dublin Chinese New Year Festival and a great way to spend to time with the family.
